These Terms of Service govern your use of northernmoti.com and any purchase you make from Northern Moti ("we", "us"). By using this store you agree to these terms.

1. Our products

Northern Moti sells fashion jewellery. Our pieces are gold-plated brass, handcrafted by karigars in Jaipur, unless a product page states otherwise. Fashion jewellery is not solid gold and is not fine jewellery. Plating wears with time and with exposure to moisture, perfume, and friction; this is normal wear and is not a defect.

We photograph our products as accurately as we can, but colour reproduction varies between screens and slight variation between pieces is inherent to handmade jewellery.

2. Prices and payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are exclusive of shipping, which is calculated at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order already placed. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where a product has been listed at an incorrect price or is unexpectedly out of stock; if we cancel a paid order we refund it in full.

3. Stock

Many of our pieces are held in very small quantities and some are one of a kind. Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. Stock is confirmed at checkout.

4. Shipping and returns

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy. Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Please read both before ordering — in particular, we accept returns only for items that arrive damaged, reported within 24 hours of arrival with photographic evidence.

5. Your account

If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use this store for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or scrape, resell, or reproduce our content, photography, or branding without written permission.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this store — including product photography, copy, and the Northern Moti name and marks — belongs to Northern Moti and may not be used without permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any product or with your use of this store is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Any dispute is subject to the courts of Ontario.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here at the time you place your order.
